Description:
Palazzo Vecchio is one of the most beautiful and important symbols of Florence, built at the beginning of the fourteenth century to house the city’s supreme governing body. During the centuries it has been subject to numerous extensions and transformations.
In the 1500’s Cosimo I de’ Medici appointed the architect Vasari to transform it into a splendid palace for the grand-ducal family.
During our visit, we will admire the elegant courtyard by Michelozzo, the famous “Hall of the 500”, the beautiful private apartments of Eleonora of Toledo, and an incredible series of frescoes, paintings, decorations, and statues by some of the most recognized Renaissance artists like Michelangelo, Donatello, Vasari, Ghirlandaio, and Bronzino.
